Ansel Adams once said....
"Sometimes I do get to places just when God's ready to have somebody click the shutter."
For me, it is definitely true ~ Most often I feel that God is the real artist, not me, I just happen to be there to record it.
My photographic style varies from a pure documentary approach to a more experimental style incorporating a variety of techniques such as; silhouettes, reflections, long and multiple exposures. When I'm outside shooting I'm not just trying to photograph a beautiful place or animal, I'm also looking for a new way to make the common look uncommon.
I began this project over 20 years ago when I bought my first camera and most of the photographs you see are within a two-hour drive of my home. As a conservation photographer, I want my images to show nature's splendour as well as its fragility.
As you view my work I hope you will be inspired to get outside to enjoy your own little piece of nature and remember that you don't need to go very far to do that.
Thanks for visiting.
